Elite Athlete Registration

In order to be considered for Elite Athlete Status, you must meet a number of requirements, starting with the following race times (must have been met since January 2018):

Marathon: Male 2:35 – Female 3:05
Half Marathon: Male 1:10 – Female 1:20

Race Charity – Project Purple

A limited number of registrations are available to those who wish to fundraise for Project Purple. Apply directly with Project Purple for a spot on their team.

The Lincoln Marathon has chosen Project Purple as its designated charity to honor Jayne Snyder, a former Lincoln Track Club board member and Lincoln City Council member, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in 2011. Pancreatic cancer accounts for approximately 3% of all cancers in the U.S. and 7% of cancer deaths. Project Purple is “running to beat pancreatic cancer” and recently committed $150,000 in grant support to the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. Specialists at UNMC are national leaders in innovative pancreatic cancer research.

National Guard Trials

We are pleased to again host the National Guard Marathon Trials. Army and Air Guard members representing each state and territory compete for positions on the National Guard Marathon Team.

National Guard Members should contact the Nebraska National Guard at 402-309-8313 for more information.
